hello Sunkist Community hello Tigers we this is MR2 vice principal and we are excited to offer opportunity for in-person learning at Sunkist beginning April 12th I want to personally welcome you all back and we have share with you that we have many safety measures in place to keep everyone healthy some of those highlights are touchless hand sanitizers in all classrooms clear plastic shields on all student desks and teacher desks all class rosters have been divided into two groups A and B to ensure that the maximum number of students in each class at any one given time is small enough to allow for the proper social distancing students and staff will wear a mask at all times while on campus and we even have some extras if you need one and you're probably wondering about the schedule for hybrid learning students on their day if they're in group a they'll they'll come on Monday and Tuesday they should arrive on campus between 7:50 and 8 a.m. TK and Kinder students will have class from 8 to 10:30 1st through 3rd grade will have class from 8 to 11 and 4th and 5th graders will have class from 8 to 11:15 while those students are on campus the other students at home are doing a synchronous work during that time distance learning will be with the teacher on the computer in TK and Kinder from 11 to 12:30 1st to 3rd grade 11 to 12:30 and 4th and 5th grade 11:15 to 12:45 t k through 5 will have intervention through distance learning Monday Tuesday Thursday and Friday from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. teachers will continue to have all distance learning for all students on Wednesday using the same schedule they have currently parents who wish to have their students ring a non distance learning they do so and the schedule has been shared on ClassDojo that shows how that will work for distance learning students when dropping off your Chao at Sunkist and then picking them up at the end of their instructional day parents are asked to use the one-day parking lot to drop off TK kindergarten and first grade at the gate between the kindergarten building and the first grade building second and third grade students may be dropped off at the large Green Gate next to the office and you can access either Puente Avenue parking lot or the mainland parking lot the students will walk in through that gate fourth and fifth graders are asked for asking you to drop I'm off at the library gate in the mail and parking lot we are requiring that all students do a self screening to make sure they are healthy enough to come to school at please help your student by taking their temperature they can share their well and that they have a mask we will scream them as they come into the campus we have handheld some letters 4tk Kinder and first grade and we have temporal scanners for second through fifth grade at their Gates students and parents are asked to maintain social distancing at all times while on campus and those areas have been clearly marked on the pavement we will continue our grab go lunch service meal service for 7 days worth of meals on Tuesdays in the afternoon additionally students who attend campus school on campus in person will receive a sack lunch as they leave campus we ask that students not bring food or drinks to school other than a water bottle and we do have refilling stay ends with filtered water for their water bottles are custodial staff will be cleaning and sanitizing classrooms daily and doing a deep cleaning of the classrooms on Wednesdays and also Friday afternoon to ensure that the rooms are safe for all students and staff additionally each classroom is equipped with a Merv 16 air filter at air purifier we hope that you enjoy your spring break and we really look forward to welcoming students back on April 12th Monday April 12th for those in and Thursday April 15th for those in group b to find out what group A or B your child is on check out our class dojo School Story or call or stop by the office we have posted each class roster with the two different groups on the front of the office or your convenience welcome back and remember after Bassett High School comes call thank you tigers
